NCLEX-PN FAQ

Is the NCLEX-PN easier than the NCLEX-RN?

The NCLEX-PN is not easier; it tests a different, practical-nurse scope of practice. Both exams use adaptive testing and clinical judgment items.

How long should I study for the NCLEX-PN?

Most candidates study 6 to 10 weeks with daily practice questions and weekly practice exams.

Can I take the NCLEX-PN in Canada?

Canadian practical nurses usually take the REx-PN (Ontario and British Columbia) or the CPNRE (other provinces) rather than the NCLEX-PN.
